
The “Deep Sea No.1″ ultra-deepwater gas field is China’s independently developed offshore gas field with the greatest operational water depth, highest formation temperature and pressure, most challenging exploration and development conditions, and largest natural gas production capacity to date. It operates at a maximum water depth exceeding 1,500 meters, with formation temperatures reaching up to 138 degrees Celsius. The field has proven geological natural gas reserves of over 150 billion cubic meters and is being developed in two phases.
The core facilities of the two-phase project—the “Deep Sea No.1″ energy station and the “four-star constellation” platform cluster—are both equipped with fundamental deep-sea oil and gas processing capabilities, enabling the local separation and offshore transfer of natural gas and crude oil at sea.

Currently, “Deep Sea No.1″ produces 15 million cubic meters of natural gas and over 1,600 metric tons of condensate oil daily. Part of the condensate oil is stored in the oil storage tanks within the four pillars of the platform. Once a certain volume is reached, it is transferred via shuttle tankers.
The on-site operations team continuously optimizes the production facilities of “Deep Sea No.1,” applying years of offshore gas field production management experience to improve the technical processes and maximize the production potential of the deepwater gas field. To date, the team has independently established a comprehensive production operation and maintenance technology system for ultra-deepwater gas fields, enabling the crude oil transfer operations at the “Deep Sea No.1″ energy station to be completed in under 8 hours.

Constructed with advanced wear-resistant ceramics, these units achieve 98% removal of particles as fine as 0.5 microns in gas streams. This capability enables the reinjection of produced gas for miscible flooding in low-permeability reservoirs, a key solution for enhancing oil recovery in challenging formations. Alternatively, they can treat produced water, removing 98% of particles larger than 2 microns for direct reinjection, thereby boosting water-flood efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

Our new product——The High Efficiency Ultra-Fine Particle Desander is a liquid-solid separation device that utilizes an efficient centrifugal principle to separate suspended impurities—such as solids in produced water, seawater, condensate, fine particles in high-viscosity liquids, and catalyst powder in reactors—from fluids (liquids, gases, or gas-liquid mixtures). It effectively removes solid particles with sizes down to 2 microns (at 98% efficiency) or smaller.
The High Efficiency Ultra-Fine Particle Desander delivers high sand removal efficiency, capable of removing solid particles down to 2 microns. The equipment features a compact footprint, requires no external power or chemical additives, and has a service life of approximately 20 years. It offers online sand discharge capability without the need for production shutdown.
Proven in major global fields operated by CNOOC, CNPC, Petronas, and others across Southeast Asia, SJPEE desanders are deployed on wellhead and production platforms. They provide reliable solids removal from gas, well fluids, and condensate, and are critical for seawater purification, production stream protection, and water injection/flooding programs.
